Description: New version of a company's web site. The content is managed by Documentum. Navigation and search facilities provided an application server.
My role: To provide assistance towards the end of the project to get the system working under load and to transfer the nagivation and search software from the Tomcat to the Websphere environment.

Web-based Information System
Description: Modular, personalisable access to company data via the Intranet using a Web-browser. Intended to replace 3270 terminal access for most users.
My role: Design and implementation of the basic framework which handles user authorisation, user input, input validation, query mapping, result filtering and conversion to HTML for display.
Technologies: Enterprise Java, HTML, Javascript, XML, JDBC, Websphere 4, Eclipse, CVS.
Web-based Parts Ordering
Description: Spare-parts ordering via the Internet for registered customers. Includes download and upload of orders using CSV and XML as part of a C2B and B2B solution. Interfaced to existing mainframe ordering facilities using a CICS connector.
My role: Basic system design and implementation.

PPS - CAD connection
Description: Data-mirroring between Production Planning System on mainframe and AIX-based CAD (Catia, VPM) system via MQ-Series.
My role: Fine design and implementation of AIX services and GUI front-end.
Technologies: C++, IBM Open Class Library, MQ Series, DB2, SQL, UNIX system.
